BrainQuest(R)-Challenges faced by Colleges
Presently the challenges faced by the top engineering colleges and universities are manifold. These colleges are facing the campus problem for their students as about 75% of the fresh engineers fail to qualify the screening tests conducted by the big IT companies. Around 89% of engineering colleges, located in the remote areas, do not have any campus placements. It is not financially and logistically viable for the recruiters to conduct interviews in ‘B’ and ‘C’ grade cities and townships. 94% of the students from ‘B’ and ‘C’ fail to qualify for the screening test. The talented students from far-fetched regions and smaller cities are not able to access the potential recruiters in time.
Even though few companies like TCS, Infosys, IBM and SAPIENT are conducting interviews in engineering colleges of smaller cities, the percentage of students that finally make through these selections is still very small. Though such colleges hold high potential for campus recruitments yet sheer accessibility problems make it impossible for the candidates to make it into the blue chip companies because of lack of exposure. What students’ need most today is the structured, unbiased and comprehensive information on their all-round strengths & weaknesses which together decide their Employability so that they can prepare themselves accordingly for top recruiters.
This is where our Brain Quest employability engineering test can help them by giving them better opportunities and transformation of engineering workforce into an employable workforce.
